| BATON ROUGE – LSU’s Tuba and Euphonium Studio invites the public to help celebrate the 12th annual Octubafest concert series, running from “Octuba” 28-“Novemtuba” 3. All concerts are free and will take place in Room 115 of the LSU School of Music building, except for the 8 p.m. recital on Nov. 2, which will be located in the auditorium at the LSU Laboratory School, located on the LSU campus. The schedule for this year’s Octubafest series — which will include solo, chamber and large ensemble performances — is as follows: Octuba 28 – 6 p.m.: Studio Soloists Octuba 28 – 8 p.m.: Danny Walley, Junior Tuba Recital Octuba 29 – 6 p.m.: Studio Soloists, Brett White, Graduate Euphonium Octuba 29 – 8 p.m.: Andy Larson, Graduate Tuba Recital Novemtuba 2 – 6 p.m.: Brian Gallion, DMA Lecture Recital Novemtuba 2 – 8 p.m.: Chamber Groups; LSU Tuba Euphonium Ensemble Concert Novemtuba 3 – 6 p.m.: Brian Gallion/Dr. Skillen Duo Recital Novemtuba 3 – 8 p.m.: Seth Orgel, Faculty Horn Recital, Featuring: Norem Brass Quintet, LSU Percussion Ensemble, Gabriel Beavers (bassoon) For more information on the LSU School of Music, visit music.lsu.edu. -30- |
