 | Tasks: |  |
 | Consult with other students on projects such as the following:
- Written: Reports, essays, proposals, brochures
- Spoken: Speeches, presentations
- Visual: Posters, presentation visuals, diagrams, brochures, videos
- Technological: Digital Portfolios, websites, animated graphics

 | Work Environment: |  |
 |
- A team environment in a studio
- 5 -15 hours per week, with opportunities for more hours if scheduling permits

 | Qualifications: |  |
 |
- Full-time LSU undergraduate student
- Excellent fluency in English and the ability to communicate technical concepts in an "easy to understand" manner
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Self-directed, self-motivated, and self-confident work style, with a strong work ethic
- Availability to work some late afternoons/evenings, in addition to some possible day-time hours and to participate in training sessions
- Willingness to commit to the program for at least 2 semesters
- An overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience a plus but not necessarily required
- Strong technical skills desired

- A letter of application stating why you believe you possess the skills that would enable you to assist other students in their communication pursuits. Please include examples of previous employment and projects or coursework completed that helped you develop these skills.
- A resumé listing permanent and local contact information, communication experience, and a list of academic and employment references with contact information.
- Communication samples (in .pdf, .doc, or hyperlinks) that demonstrate your ability in the areas in which you would like to mentor: written, spoken, visual, and/or technological. You only need one sample for each.

Because the availability of positions is partially determined by the number of returning mentors, you should re-apply every semester if you are not hired the first time you seek employment as a CxC Mentor. |  |
