Strategies for Planning Follow-Up Sessions

March 28 & March 31, 2003
On Friday, March 28, and Monday, March 31, follow-up sessions for assessment coordinators of academic degree programs will be held in Room 51 Himes Hall. These sessions are designed to help you address the SACSCOC requirements and standards that pertain to establishing and evaluating program and learning outcomes; the LSU Program Review criteria pertaining to student learning outcomes; and the third bullet in the March 17 to May 1 Planning Timeline, which states that "departmental plans will include student learning outcomes and performance indicators for each curriculum."

This information session is intended to assist departments in meeting the requirements of the 2003 institutional planning process (www.lsu.edu/planning). The purpose of this meeting is to provide chairs, departmental assessment coordinators, and coordinators of interdisciplinary learning programs with strategies for successfully addressing the curricular component that must be included in departmental and program plans. Strategies to satisfy the curricular section of the LSU Program Review Self-Study and SACSCOC Reaffirmation of Accreditation compliance certification will also be discussed.
