The Baton Rouge Area Survey
The Baton Rouge area survey is a general population survey covering a variety of social, economic, and political issues. The survey is conducted every spring term by Frederick Weil’s students in Sociological Methods (SOCL 2211). The first survey took place in 2000.

The Social Capital Community Benchmark Survey, 2000
The Social Capital Community Benchmark Survey (SCCBS) was a national survey, directed by Robert Putnam at Harvard University, with participation by 40 communities around America, including Baton Rouge. Members of the Sociology Department were the Baton Rouge academic partners.
