Southern Charm: Enchanting Gardens of Natchez, MS
Saturday, October 23rd
7AM ~ 7PM
From the desks of Paula Dillemuth and Margaret Humble:
Whether it is framed by the old architecture of a Southern mansion, a cozy bungalow or a multi-level modern creation, we have found some exceptional gardens to tour in Natchez. Every garden offers a variety of pleasant experiences whether it has been developed by the homeowner or featured in Southern Living as an award-winner. What speaks the loudest is the enthusiasm of the homeowners to be on the tour. They are all anxious to share their gardens and be on hand to visit with us and answer any questions. They share a passion that is contagious.
We will enjoy a genuine Southern lunch at The Carriage House on the grounds of Stanton Hall where the grounds are maintained and preserved by the Pilgrimage Garden Club. After a day of visiting seven out-of-the-ordinary gardens, we will end our day with a sunset wine and cheese party at a home sitting on the bluffs of the Mississippi River. As usual we will depart Baton Rouge about 7AM and return about 7PM.
