Hilltop’s first ever Landscape Architecture Day for high school students will be held on Saturday, April 11th from 9am-12noon. The special event will coincide with the American Society of Landscape Architects National Awareness Day and will provide a unique opportunity to explore the process of creating a designed landscape using the Arboretum as a design laboratory.
WHO CAN ATTEND THE EVENT? HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. BOY SCOUTS WILL EARN THEIR LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE BADGE.
WHAT WILL YOU DO? Learn about the profession of landscape architecture by having fun with college students from the LSU Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture working with nature, models and your imagination to explore the concept of form, color, model-making and graphic representation using various media. Members of the American Society of Landscape Architects will have a special booth and information about the growing career opportunities in landscape architecture.
This special event is partially funded by a grant from the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge.
