Garden Tour Series
The Friends of Hilltop Arboretum present an annual Garden Tour Series. The tours showcase a selection of Baton Rouge's most prized gardens. The popular Garden Tour Series benefits Hilltop's numerous projects, symposiums, and seminars, and supports major improvements planned for the 14-acre oasis located at 11855 Highland Road.

Fall PlantFest!
The Fall PlantFest! is another major fundraising activity at Hilltop Arboretum. Hilltop friends and volunteers come together for this event to provide the public with an opportunity to purchase many of the wonderful plants donated by friends and grown at the Arboretum in the area known affectionately as "Hodge Podge". Additional plants are procured from Louisiana nurseries, as well as nurseries in Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida. The sale boasts the "broadest selection of native plants at any one time and place in the southeastern United States."
Educational Programs

Pocket Guide to Louisiana Native Trees
A Pocket Guide to Louisiana Native Trees is an educational tool to promote awareness and appreciation of native southern trees and provide a simple means of identifying them. it is designed to be used by students of all ages who want to learn more about native plants. This is the first in a proposed series about native plants of Louisiana. The guide has been dsitributed to schools and libraries statewide and is available at Louisiana Tourist Centers and selected Wildlife and Fisheries locations. Copies can be ordered through Friends of Hilltop.
