5. Tuition Exemption
Full-time employees (other than faculty) that are employed at least one year at 100 % effort, may- with the approval of the immediate supervisor, department head or chair, and the Office of Human Resource management- register for job-related courses up to six hours per semester (three hours in summer term) and receive tuition exemption. Three hours may be taken during work time if approved by supervisor.

LSU offers excellent annual leave, sick leave, and paid holidays to its employees. Academic year employees have the same holidays as the students. However, if an employee is employed on a fiscal-year basis, the University holiday schedule, issued annually, provides 14 paid holidays.
