Welcome to the Academic & Professional Employment website! Our mission is to serve our customers with excellence by providing the guidance, support and resources that are needed to recruit and retain the highly qualified and diverse employees of LSU. The Academic & Professional Employment section of HRM is responsible for a variety of programs such as reviewing position advertisements, waiver of advertisement requests, and appointments & personnel action forms for adherence to University policies and procedures. Each Fall and Spring semester, we oversee the promotion / tenure review and sabbatical leave processes. We assist in showing LSU employees our appreciation for their dedication and hard work through the Annual Employee Recognition Program and Quarterly Service Award Certificate Program.
