 | Comprehensive Public Training Program (CPTP)
The following links have been set up to give you precisely the information you need regarding CPTP opportunities. Each link will take you to the appropriate page on CPTP's website.
Classroom Course Schedule
This link will be updated when a new schedule of classroom courses is released.
Registration Form
(This form is provided in Adobe Acrobat. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat, you can download a free version of it here.)
All registration forms for classroom courses must have a supervisor's signature and should be sent to LSU's Training and Development Office by campus mail: 304 Thomas Boyd or by fax: 578-9499. Your form will be forwarded to CPTP and if a seat is available in the class, you will be sent a confirmation letter in the mail 1-2 weeks prior to class. NOTE: DO NOT USE THE EMAIL SUBMISSION FEATURE WHEN FILLING OUT THE FORM ON-LINE.
Computer-Based Training/List of Available Courses
This is a listing of computer classes available through CPTP, updated yearly. Check our homepage for upcoming computer training dates. Interested employees should use the registration form provided in the link above, not the Ordering Information link on CPTP's website.
LSU's Mandatory Training Policy and Curriculum
If you do not know your position's supervisory group number, talk with your supervisor. You may also contact Charnell Westerman at 578-8333. Visit the Department of Civil Service's website for more information on mandatory training. (Note: LSU's mandatory training curriculum is slightly different from the Civil Service requirements set forth for non-LSU state employees who fall under the mandatory training policy.)
CPTP Course Registration Process
Learn about the Course Registration process. LSU's Office of Training and Development serves as the CPTP Coordinator when registering for classes.
