ACEJMC recommends that Manship School receive re-accreditation
A team from the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (ACEJMC) has recommended that the Manship School receive re-accreditation. The [accrediting] team found the School in compliance with all nine standards. The standards cover such areas as curriculum and instruction, diversity and inclusiveness, and professional and public service. Re-accreditation was recommended in a draft report. A final decision by ACEJMC comes in April.
“This accreditation team was the most demanding I’ve seen,” Manship School Dean Jack Hamilton said. “That makes this [positive report] doubly impressive.”
ACEJMC requires that programs be re-accredited every six years. The Manship School was first accredited in 1946.
