Louisiana Ornithological Society
The Louisiana Ornithological Society is the statewide organization for birders and Ornithologists. The group organizes quarterly gatherings in different parts of the state, publishes a journal on Louisiana ornithology, publishes a quarterly newlsetter for its members, and has a website with lots of information regarding Louisiana birds.

National Audubon Society Important Bird Area Program
The Important Bird Areas Program of Louisiana is a three year program funded through the State Wildlife Grants program. The Louisiana Bird Resource Center is a partner of this effort providing office space in Foster Hall. Here is the website for National Audubon Society's IBA program.

Louisiana Breeding Bird Atlas
Mark Swan of The Nature Conservancy has placed the Louisiana Breeding Bird Atlas online. There is a wealth of knowledge distilled on these pages thanks to the many volunteers and technicians that gathered the data from 1994-1996.

America's Wetland Birding Trail
Birding trails have made it to Louisiana! This link will take you to the website where you can download the maps and information on specific loops and sites. Additional trails for North Louisiana are in the works.

Louisiana Birds Photography Pool
This is a bird photography pool set up for use by birders, biologists, land managers, or anyone that wants to use Louisiana bird photography for a non-profit purpose.
