How to visit the Louisiana Museum of Natural History at LSU

The Louisiana Museum of Natural History has two principal exhibit areas, one in the Textile and Costume Museum, the other in the Museum of Natural Science.

Textile and Costume Museum

The Museum's exhibit area is open to the public (free of charge) between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM Monday through Friday (holidays excepted). The exhibit area is also open the first Sunday of each month from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The exhibit area is located in Room 140 of the Human Ecology Building, which is located on the corner of Tower Drive and South Campus Drive. For information about special programs and exhibits, call the Textile and Costume Museum at 225-578-5992.

Museum of Natural Science

The Museum's exhibit area is open to the public (free of charge) between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Friday, holidays excepted. The exhibit area is located in Foster Hall, which is on Dalrymple Drive across from the Greek Theater. Visitors can obtain a one-day campus parking permit at the University's Visitor Center, located on the corner of Dalrymple Drive and Highland Road.
