Clint Penfield, LSU MBA graduate, knows that “the sauce is boss.” Clint works as the District Manager of the Greater Baton Rouge area for Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers.
This restaurateur received an undergraduate degree in Geology, but he did wait tables in college for about two years. He learned a lot as an MBA student at LSU and now works at a company where he is responsible for the overall operations, staff and their professional development, development of new systems and tools, and much more.
Cane’s presents an exciting work environment and is “very progressive” in the way they manage and lead. Clint says that the most rewarding parts of his job are helping people grow professionally and developing new systems that are used throughout the company. The hardest part of his job is managing time. He does not have down time at his job; he produces the whole time he is at work. However, he enjoys never being bored.
Clint also participates in promotions and community involvement and has fun while doing it. His favorite community events that he has participated in are the Balloon Festival and Taste of Tiger Tailgating. Clint suggests that students try out restaurant operations management while in school, because if they like it a good paying job may await them after graduation.
*Fun Fact: Every Cane's employee's title includes "Fry Cook and Cashier."
