Sydney Brown is an advertising senior from Park City, Utah. She has been involved in on-campus organizations such as Zeta Tau Alpha, LSU Homecoming Committee, Up ‘Til Dawn and Order of Omega. She has held leadership positions throughout her college career including Zeta Tau Alpha PR/Historian, Zeta Tau Alpha Philanthropy Chair, LSU Homecoming Decorations Coordinator 2006 and 5K Race Coordinator 2007. She received the Knight and Day Award for Outstanding Service to the Union in 2006. In her free time, Sydney sings the National Anthem for various LSU athletic events, but she also enjoys knitting, snowboarding (when in Utah) and playing the piano.
Molly Hall is a senior from Covington, Louisiana majoring in General Studies. She is a member of several campus organizations such as Delta Zeta sorority, Students on Target, Best Buddies, and Student Government. She also works as an intern for the Baton Rouge Area Sports Foundation. After graduating from LSU, she plans on getting her Master’s Degree in Sports Management and pursuing a career in collegiate athletic administration.
Ashley Higgins is from Lake Charles, LA and is a Senior majoring in Kinesiology/Human Movement with a minor in Professional Leadership. Ashley is an Army ROTC Cadet/Scholarship Recipient and has served as Union Board Vice-President: Membership, Union Program Council Vice-President: Membership, African Student Organization Fundraising Chairperson, Student Government Diversity Awareness Team Representative, and Spring Fest Team Leader. Ashley has also participated in the Beyond 2008 Task Force Committee, Kinesiology Club, Black Student Union, LSU NAACP, Residence Hall Association and LSU Gospel Choir. While at LSU she has received the ROTC Honors Award, Silver Army Physical Fitness Test Award, Department of the Army Superior Cadet Decoration Award, and the LSU Union Knight/Day Leadership Award. Ashley will commission as a United States Army 2nd Lieutenant upon graduation, and she will pursue her career as an Active Duty United States Army Officer.
Ashley Ney is a senior majoring in Kinesiology with a concentration in Human Movement Science, and she is from Lake Charles, Louisiana. After graduation, Ashley hopes to attend Occupational Therapy school. As part of her future goals, she would like to serve as an Occupational Therapist working in Pediatrics. Her involvement at LSU includes serving as the President for the College of Education, serving as the Associate Overall Chair for the LSU Ambassadors, serving as a STRIPES Small Group Leader, and serving as the Orientation Chair for the LSU Ambassadors.
Samantha Simmons is a senior from Lafayette, Louisiana. She is a Mass Communication: Public Relations major with minors in Leadership Development and History. She is currently serving the university as the LSU Ambassadors Executive Council's Publicity Chair, the STRIPES Program Executive Staff's Streak Leader, the Leadership Resource Consultants' Overall Chair, and as the University Center for Advising and Counseling's Vice - President. Samantha is also the Student Assistant to the Speaker of the Louisiana House of Representatives. After graduation she will be pursuing a Master's degree in Public Administration. Samantha has hopes of working as a recruiter and a fundraiser for Louisiana State University.
Ross Gaudet is a senior in Biological Sciences and General Studies from River Ridge, LA. He has been involved in LSU campus organizations like LSU Ambassadors, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Student Government. He has served the campus community in many leadership positions including Union Program Council Ideas & Issues chair and Students on Target Executive Staff. He also works with the Office of Undergraduate Admission and Financial Aid: Division of Outreach giving campus tours to prospective students. In the near future, he hopes to attend medical school and concentrate in anesthesiology. Also, he would like to work with Emergency Disaster Preparedness and Management to aid victims of disasters worldwide. His ultimate goal is to sit on the National Anesthesiology Board developing new medicines and relief methods for everyone regardless of income,insurance, or background.
David Hunter Hartwig, a senior from Katy, Texas, has been a Mass Communication: Advertising major since his first day at LSU with a minor in Business Administration. Student involvement has been important to him during his time at LSU in organizations such as Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, LSU Ambassadors, S.T.R.I.P.E.S., and the Interfraternity Council. He is currently serving as the Mass Communication College Council President and has enjoyed heading up events such as the Spring Invitational orientation program for incoming freshmen. Hunter's time is also devoted to other organizations like Omicron Delta Kappa and the Student Advertising Federation. In the future, he hopes to work for an advertising agency as a creative director and eventually one day move into teaching at a university level in advertising.
Derrick A. Petit is a GRADUATING senior majoring Political Science and History with a minor in African and African American Studies. He is hails from New Orleans, Louisiana. Some of his involvement includes: University Court, Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, Big Buddy Mentoring Program, and the African American Cultural Center Core Group. He is a former SG Senator, BSU and NAACP Committee Chair, Co-Chair of the Imani Pageant, Graduate of the 2005 LeaderShape Institute, and a recipient of the College of Arts & Sciences Academic Excellence Award. After GRADUATION he plans to teach middle school as Teach for America corps member followed by attending Law School, with a focus on Civil Rights.
Andrew Remson is a Communications Studies major from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, also minoring in Leadership Development and Political Science. Andrew has served the students of LSU as a Senator in Student Government for three consecutive years. He is also a member of Acacia Fraternity and was an LSU Ambassador. Andrew currently serves as the LSU Representative to EA Sports. He is an active member of Christ the King Church and a student on the Diocesan Youth Retreat Team. Upon Graduation, Andrew hopes to obtain a law degree and work in upper athletic administration at the professional or collegiate level while working with non-profit organizations to help rebuild the Gulf Coast.
James Colorado Robertson is a senior double majoring in Dairy Science and Agricultural Business with a minor in Business Administration. He is the son of Dale and Jeri Robertson of Amite, Louisiana. Colorado, is currently serving as the Speaker of the LSU Student Senate. He has also held other leadership positions during his undergraduate career including the President of the Agricultural Students Association and College Republicans. Colorado, also seats on the Louisiana Serve Commission and serves as the Chairmen, of the AmeriCorps program committee. Colorado hopes to pursue a Masters in Public Administration at LSU and then a career in public service.
