Why invest in the LSU Child Care Center?

- Children receiving high-quality child care have significantly higher earnings, significantly higher rate of high school graduation, and significantly lower need for special education and costly social services.
- Children receiving high-quality child care are retained in grade less often, arrested less frequently, more successful on cognitive and IQ tests, more motivated and committed to school, and more skillful in social situations.
- Society benefits through cost savings of $3 to $7 for every $1 invested in a quality child care program.
- Attendance in a high-quality child care program enhances lifetime earnings of both children and parents and reduces unemployment
- Children graduating from a high-quality child care program have fewer teen pregnancies, less delinquent activities, and fewer incarcerations.

Annual Giving Opportunities
Become a Guardian Angel
Unrestricted contributions to the LSU Child Care Center Fund provide the ability for areas of greatest need to be met. These contributions help to strengthen the LSU Child Care Center where it is most beneficial. These funds may be used for new equipment, educational materials for children, families, and teachers, and in many other areas.
The "guardianship" lasts from January 1 to December 31 each year, so you can make a contribution at any time, and all gifts are appreciated.

As a Guardian Angel you help the LSU Child Care Center:
- Sustain its excellence as a model child care program
- Touch the lives of children, parents, grandparents, and caregivers
- Provide a safe and stimulating environment where children can learn
- Give children a positive atmosphere to develop social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills
- Support enrichment and special events for the children, families, and staff of the Center, as well as, the LSU Community
Contributors will be listed as benefactors and invited to attend special events.
Circle of Friends
The LSU Child Care Center Circle of Friends is composed of a very special group of individuals who give $1,000 or more annually in unrestricted funds to support the LSU Child Care Center.
Circle of Friends members are invited to special events each year as special guests.

Naming Opportunities for Major Gifts
The LSU Child Care Center is prepared to engage children from the start of their educational journey to the onset of their formal educational experience. Quietly nestled away from the clamoring pace of the big campus buildings, our child-centered world will bustle with ladybugs and birds and provide welcome shelter beneath the gigantic live oak trees. For the youngest children, life at the child care center will begin in a warm, safe, and nurturing harbor, a haven positioning them for the future. By the time they are older, they will be well prepared for school achievements. The design of a home-like environment will invite children to explore and learn.
Private funding creates opportunities for families to afford high-quality child care and sustains the LSU Child Care Center as having a unique level of quality. A gift to the LSU Child Care Center insures LSU’s commitment to students, staff, and faculty and the success of future generations.

Tribute Gift
Whether you are celebrating a special occasion, honoring someone close to your heart, or remembering a loved one, a Tribute Gift to the LSU Child Care Center is a special way of acknowledging your admiration or compassion, or to say "thanks" for their support.
Special occasions can range from a birthday, anniversary, graduation, wedding, new baby, job promotion or the opening or anniversary of a business, to celebrating another event special in someone else's life.
You may just want to express your gratitude for someone's support, encouragement or business.
A memorial gift to benefit young children's education is a touching gesture as well.
Notice of your gift will be sent promptly to the individual, family, business, or organization that you are honoring or remembering. The gift amount will not be included. You will receive our grateful confirmation of your gift for tax purposes.
