Legacy is a general-interest, feature magazine that focuses on people and issues relating to the LSU campus community. It uses student-prepared content. Legacy has become known for its unique design. The magazine is published in August, November, March, and April, and is distributed at numerous locations across the campus.

Legacy provides a great way to get published in a magazine of national stature. Because Legacy‚s writers, photographers, and sometimes designers work on a freelance basis, Legacy offers opportunities for people who can work only part-time or occasionally. You can gain experience in reporting, writing, illustrating, shooting pictures, or designing layouts, and get wonderful clips for your portfolio. Legacy also needs a small staff of editors who get the marvelous experience of conceptualizing and producing four issues of a feature magazine, experience that will serve them well when they enter the job market.
