Residential Colleges at LSU

Does LSU appeal to you, but you’re also attracted by the advantages of a smaller college or university? You can join one of our residential colleges and have both.

LSU is nationally recognized for its academic strengths, outstanding athletic programs, and unique culture. Its beautiful campus has a rich tradition and a vibrant spirit. To discover and share in all that LSU offers while enjoying the many benefits of a small, supportive academic and social community on the campus, choose a residential college that is right for you:

Mission Statement for the LSU Residential Colleges Program:
The mission of the LSU Residential Colleges Program is to provide a seamless living-learning environment which fosters the development of three core outcomes: critical thinking ability, communication skills, and sense of community and social responsibility. Pedagogical strategies are not necessarily different from that which would occur in a non-residential college classroom to achieve the outcomes, but the environment itself provides more opportunities for achieving them, both inside and outside of the classroom.
