What is Volunteer LSU?
Volunteer LSU is the on-campus community service center for LSU students, faculty, and staff. We connect the campus community with volunteer programs by working with a diverse group of partners interested in volunteerism.

How can I get involved?
There are many ways you can be involved with Volunteer LSU:
- Go to our home page at volunteer.lsu.edu and click on the link “Get Involved”. Here you can register and become part of our database to receive emails about upcoming service projects.
- You can also contact our organization by email or telephone. We can be reached at volunteer@lsu.edu or 225.578.5118.
- You can contact one of the Volunteer LSU executive board members or focus group leaders. Contact information is on the Volunteer LSU webpage at volunteer.lsu.edu. Click on “Contact Us” or one of the Focus Group page links at the top of the home page.

How often do the service projects happen?
Service projects take place throughout the year. Since our organization is new, we are working toward having one service project a month with more to come in the future.

How often do I have to participate with Volunteer LSU in order to be considered a member?
If you’re interested in being part of Volunteer LSU, here’s the good news – there is no commitment involved! To become a member, simply participate in one or more of our service projects. We encourage you to volunteer for as many events as you like, but by no means will participation be required. One thing we do ask: if you make a commitment to help out at a specific project, please hold yourself to this – our volunteers depend on it.

How can I donate to Volunteer LSU?
You can donate money, supplies, equipment, food, water, or anything else you would like by clicking on the link “Donate to Volunteer LSU” on our homepage at volunteer.lsu.edu. Here you will be able to donate money or any of the items listed on our “Wish List”. Simply follow the directions on the page, and fill in the needed information and we’ll take care of the rest!

What are the focus areas?
Our focus areas are the five areas of service in which our organization concentrates most of its time and energy. However, we do not limit ourselves to service in these areas. How do I get my picture and quote on the Volunteer LSU website?
You can get your picture and quote on the homepage of our website by participating in one of our sponsored service projects and giving us your feedback about the event. You can do this by going to our homepage at volunteer.lsu.edu and clicking on the link “Give Us Feedback!” Here you will find instructions and a link to the form.
