There’s a different kind of class at LSU … horticulture students plant school gardens, chemistry students perform experiments and demonstrations for high school science classes, and English students tutor in public schools and write real documents for non-profits. It’s called service-learning, and approximately 80 classes in more than 35 departments are offered each semester.
Visit www.ccell.lsu.edu and click on “Courses” to see a list of Spring 2010 classes that will get you out of the classroom and into making the world a better place while you learn. Don’t see a class in your major?
Contact 578-9264 or ccell@lsu.edu for the most current list of classes or for advice on service-learning electives related to your major.
