Job Duties of Student Technical Trainers:
- Train fellow students in computer workshops, such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Front Page), PAWS, Adobe Photoshop, ILife, HTML and Web
design, JavaScript, Macromedia Suite (Dreamweaver, Flash, etc.) Mathematica, Matlab and more.
Assist with the creation of class and advertising materials
Work Environment
10-15 hours per week, with opportunities for more hours if scheduling permits
Instruct at least one night per week (except for exam periods and semester breaks)
Qualifications
Ability to work independently
High fluency in English and the ability to communicate with students to convey technical concepts in an “easy to understand” manner
Must be available to work late afternoons/evenings
Willing to commit to the program for at least 2 semesters |
