On Wednesday, Jan. 9, Baton Rouge Mayor-President Kip Holden presented LSU with a key to the city in honor of the football team’s BCS National Championship victory against Ohio State University. LSU defeated Ohio State 38-24 on Jan. 7 in the Superdome. The Tigers have since been named national champions by the Coaches and Associated Press polls, Football Writer’s Association and Grantland Rice.
